Greetings Fellow Motorcyclists!
It is really amazing to realize that less than a week ago we were
experiencing 35 degree temperatures and hail bouncing off the front
porch! And this time last month, there was 5 inches of snow on the
ground
It looks like spring has finally "sprung"!
Yesterday, as I began bringing plants and citrus trees out of the
green house, it was close to 80 degrees!! What other surprises are
in store for us????

Spring Time Shopping
As the weather becomes warm and sunny, many of you are having visions
of new (or new to you) motorcycles dancing in your heads... We are
with you!
I once saw a bumper sticker that read, "All cars run on used
parts." This is true - the money spent for the new automobile,
motorcycle, or handgun is not always the best of investments. As
soon as the tires hit the road, the purchase is used and may lose
up to 40% of its value. Your dealer must make a profit to stay in
business and be there to service your purchase. If they have a 20%
markup on a vehicle/handgun, they can pocket a small profit. But
when you want to trade the item in at a later date the dealer may
offer something well below his wholesale price.
Certain features can be more desirable and if you must have these,
then shopping for a bargain will be tougher. If you wish to own
something that will just be reliable over the long run the task
is far easier. You can find a quality used motorcycle/handgun that
will serve your needs. I have certainly made my share of errors
in the past, but most were easily rectified. Others were nearly
insurmountable.
If you purchase a used vehicle/handgun from a reputable shop, you
should have some type of warranty. A shop owner once told me that
"nothing should go wrong". Never the less, I should do
my part and maintain and keep the motorcycle/handgun clean.....
There are good purchases to be made on the used market. With careful
shopping on our part we can do well.... We strongly suggest you
frequent reputable dealers for your used or new purchase.

World Of Wheels Education Seminar Update
Our World
of Wheels Education Seminar in Marietta on 17 March was met
with a large turnout. Our good friend and fellow instructor Pete
Tamblyn (Stayin'
Safe) provided an excellent PowerPoint presentation of the Stayin'
Safe teachings which focus on situational awareness. Ken (Atlanta
Motorcycle Schools) discussed the appropriate technique for
negotiating curves and bends. WOW staff set up the "Good Eats"
for everyone. We were surrounded by excellent motorcycles and good
company
Several of Atlanta Motorcycle Schools customers were
in attendance. A good time was had by all!!!!!! And hopefully, some
learning as well :-).
Our next WOW Education Seminar is scheduled for July. The subject
will be Motorcyclists and Concealed Carry. Plan on attending and
we will have more details in a later Update..

Garage Party
On Thursday, March 25, JoAnna represented both Atlanta
Motorcycle & Handgun Schools and her Mary
Kay business at the Killer
Creek H-D Ladies Garage Party. Garage
Party events are women-only parties hosted by HD®
dealerships after hours, where you'll learn the basics of motorcycling
that can help get you on the road.
If you know women who are interested in learning to ride, this
is a good introduction into several aspects of riding. And of course,
Atlanta Motorcycle
Schools is always there to help them learn to ride!
